Melissa Webb was born in Somerset West and attended Stellenbosch University before being lured by the “bright City lights” of Johannesburg where she obtained her LLB degree from the University of Johannesburg.

Melissa joined Denoon Sampson Ndlovu Inc. in 2006 as an article clerk and then went on to practise law and join their management team. She then practised for Strauss Scher Attorneys, a specialist property development law firm with whom she still enjoys a close working relationship. After ten years in Johannesburg Melissa returned “home” to Cape Town where she initially contracted to ENS before joining Guthrie Colananni attorneys as a partner in their conveyancing department.

After being back in Cape Town for five years Webb Attorneys was born with Melissa heading up the practice. Melissa lives, breathes and dreams of property and looks forward to every transaction she is involved in. Property development, sectional title schemes and subdivisions remain key focus areas for Melissa whilst she actively supervises her practice.

Part of Melissa’s achievements include the Law Society of the Northern Provinces award for the most successful Notary candidate in 2008/2009.

Melissa is married with two children and enjoys, amongst other things, sailing, horse riding, running and swimming.

Rolé Beeby

Director and Conveyancer

 

Rolé Beeby was born in Johannesburg and obtained a BA Law degree at Stellenbosch University. In 2000 she obtained her LLB degree at the University of South Africa.

Rolé completed her articles of clerkship at Webber Wentzel Bowens lnc. in Cape Town, whereafter she was admitted as an attorney in 2003. She practised as such and attended to matters mostly relating to litigation, contractual, family and insolvency law at Delport Ward and Pienaar Inc. In 2005, Role decided to open her own firm, namely, Rolé Beeby and Associates, as she wanted to focus on her family life and complete her notarial and conveyancing exams. She was admitted as a notary and conveyancer by the High Court in 2006, and has practised as such ever since. In 2011, she was appointed as a senior conveyancing associate at Mclouhghlin Clark Attorneys lnc. She headed up their conveyancing department for a period of 6 years. Rolé then joined Minde Shapiro & Smith as a conveyancing consultant.

In March of 2020, Rolé joined Webb attorneys as a conveyancing consultant. She specialises in general property law, including, but not limited to, drafting property agreements, all deeds of cessions and agreements of sale, drafting and the registration of antenuptial contracts, the registration of transfers, servitudes, notarial deeds of cession, land consolidation and subdivision, the registration and cancellation of mortgage bonds, deeds registry searches, drafting and issuing conveyancer’s certificates as well as opening and registering sectional title registers.

Rolé is married with two children and enjoys keeping fit and active.

Damian Ross

Damian Ross

Litigation Attorney

 

Damian Ross completed his BCom Law in 2019, majoring in Business Management, and his LLB in 2022 at the Nelson Mandela University.

He completed his articles of clerkship at Gravett Schoeman Inc. in East London in early 2025, and was duly admitted as an attorney of the High Court in May of the same year.

During his articles, Damian primarily practised in litigation, where he handled matters from a variety of different fields, ranging from commercial and rental disputes to family law and general debt-collection matters. Damian has a solid background knowledge of legal matters relating to Property and has a keen interest in property development.

Damian joined Webb Attorneys in January 2026 and will deal mainly with commercial and property-related litigation matters.

Away from his desk, he enjoys playing golf, cricket, padel and continuing his endless search for the best cup of coffee in Cape Town..

Lucy Orso

Conveyancer

 

Lucy is originally from Cape Town where she obtained her LLB through the University of South Africa. Prior to embarking on her legal career Lucy worked as a buyer for an international watch brand.

She first worked as a paralegal before registering as a candidate attorney and completing her articles. Some great background experience that Lucy brings with her is general litigation, labour law and commercial drafting and reviewing of contracts.

In 2018 Lucy wrote her conveyancing exam and was admitted as a conveyancer in 2019 before leaving Cape Town to Plettenberg Bay to obtain some conveyancing experience.

Although gaining valuable experience in Plettenberg Bay Lucy missed Cape Town and family life and subsequently joined Webb Attorneys.

Lucy is an animal lover who enjoys walking her dogs, hiking and being outdoors.

Jennifer Norris

Jennifer Norris

Attorney Notary Conveyancer

 

Jennifer Norris was born in Kimberly and lived in Botswana and Namibia before she started her law degree at Stellenbosch University. She completed her BA Law degree at Stellenbosch and LLB through Unisa followed by UCT School for Legal Practice. She completed her articles at Stellenbosch Legal Aid and worked in the courts for 2 years doing mainly criminal litigation.

After her first child was born, she followed her passion for property law and completed her Conveyancing diploma, and started working for Heunis and Heunis in Somerset West where she was involved mainly in Conveyancing, Drafting contracts, and Deeds office work. Due to family commitments, she decided to work only at the Deeds office as this afforded her more flexibility. She started registering deeds, doing searches, and became a deeds office specialist understanding and assisting in making sure all-important deeds are registered. She has 20 years of experience in conveyancing and has successfully registered hundreds of transactions.

She is married with 3 boys and enjoys hiking, reading, and has a passion for collecting art.
